ONLINE LEARNING

Students RETAKING Math courses via PCHS will be required to attend twice weekly Math Labs. Math final required in person on August 12, 2020.

Registration Deadline

April 30 - Deadline for 8-11 grade

June 12 - Tentative deadline for non-grads.

ACCESS will take apps later for non-grads but request that apps be turned in asap.

Registration Process

All the forms to register will be available online and must be printed (ONE SIDED) and provided to Counselors by the deadline. To register:
Required Forms

Go to website, scroll down to July/August Enrollment Instructions. Click on Enrollment Instructions. Select Placentia/Yorba Linda. Click on Enrollment Packet. Parents complete online packet, print out and return to counselors for signature and accompanying paperwork.

Please make sure you look through the two documents attached at the bottom of this page for instructions on filling out an application and how to enroll. Applications that are NOT completely filled out will be returned.

Classes Offered

Non-CP Only LA-1, 2, 3, 4, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Business Math, Personal Finance, US History, World History, Government, Economics, *Health, Earth Science, Physical Science, Biology, Careers, Psychology A (elective), Intro to Social Media (elective)Vocational Exploration (elective), PE will be offered!Middle School skill recovery courses in LA and Math for students finishing 7th and 8th grade.

College Prep: LA-1, 2, 3, 4, US History, World History, Government, Economics, Geometry,  Algebra 1, 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus

Non-College Prep: Cyber Skills, *Health (5 credits each), Career Exploration, PE (5-10 credits max)

Math Tutor Labs now offered!  Attendance at labs twice per week will be required for all retake classes. and recommended for ALL Math courses.

*OCDE schools do not use PYLUSD Health Curriculum.  OCDE courses cover similar topics but are not identical to the material available for preview at PYLUSD Health Preview nights in 2019, If you would like to preview PCHS or ACCESS Health curriculum please contact those schools directly.

Program Type

Direct Instruction -  College level courses on an intensive Summer schedule taught by Fullerton College teachers

Hybrid - Students work via Apex Learning online for about 20 hours per week and attend site twice per week to take tests and receive guidance from PYLUSD teachers.

Registration Process

Representatives from FC will visit schools to assist in registering and enrolling students.

Please note: Special admit forms must be submitted prior to registering. Forms are attached at bottom of this page.

Students to complete paper application and counseling staff or family to complete online form.

*IMPACTED SCHEDULE DEFINITION 2020:
Students in these programs are eligible to take original credit courses outside of the bell schedule (i.e. Saturday Academy or Summer Programs): Business, Culinary, CTE Pathways 
 
Students in these programs may be eligible to take original credit courses outside of the bell schedule if they participate in at least 2 of these programs during 2 years of high school: Leadership, Advanced Placement, School Sponsored Athletics
 
No State Graduation Requirements (Education Code (EC) 51225.3) may be completed during summer for initial credit.
