On Thursday, March 19, California Governor Gavin Newsom and the California Department of Public Health announced an open-ended order for all individuals living in the State of California to stay at their place of residence. Individuals are advised to shelter in place except to receive essential services such as food, medicine, gas, and more.
As a result, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Board of Education has taken action to extend the temporary closure of all school and office locations. School sites and office locations will now be closed through Friday, April 24, 2020. During this time, the District will continue to monitor circumstances surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19) and determine if additional precautionary steps are necessary.
